#1: Nike Air Yeezy

This shoe is my personal favorite because I'm a huge Kanye West fan and a sucker for almost anything glow in the dark. Plus....look at the design of the shoe. It's beautiful! Unfortunately...I was not able to procure a pair of Yeezys due to my financial situation at the time, so if I come up on a pair now it's looking like I'll have to pay a pretty penny. Ah well....

#2: Jordan "Space Jam" 11s

This was easily the most anticipated release of 2009! Nuff said!

#3: Clae Russell Wool

I'm a big Clae Russell fan and I think their decision to cover this, already beautiful, shoe in wool was perfect! This is a perfect fall/winter "after 5" shoe.

"You will go down in the 4th....THIS TIME."

In case you haven't heard...Jose Offerman, former MLB star, was banned from the Dominican League FOR LIFE after "punching" an umpire. I couldn't imagine ever getting that mad at an ump. Did he actually hit him tho? Decide for yourself...

This phantom "punch" reminds me of another infamous player/official confrontation....check it out.
These refs be out here takin' dives! lol

#4: Reebok 20th Anniversary Pumps

This shoe made my #4 primarily because of the marketing behind the release of these shoes. Collaborating with sneaker boutiques around the world and making the releases extremely limited added to the mystique of bringing back the Reebok Pump for it's 20th Anniversary. I liked the Colette and Juice Pumps the most I think, but pretty much all of them were sweet. Don't you agree?

#5: Nike Air Penny II

I still want a pair of the Atlantic Blues, but this shoe means a lot to me because I hooped in the Atlantic Blues when i was a kid.

Happy Martin Luther King Day

On this day let's try and remain positive in all things we do today.

I'm fitted

So I got up and went down to the Nati before work yesterday to acquire this lil diddy right here. As you can see....the letters glow in the dark. In one word...FRESH! Shoutout to Corporate

Can I nominate an IWP, HurtMEEZYSoul?

Soooo......this guy took his dog skydiving. Um....am I wrong for thinking there's something wrong with this? Wasn't sure if Mia saw this or not so I figured I'd offer it to her as a potential IWP for her own blog. lol

#6: Nike Air Griffey Max 1

Just as Griffey comes back home to Seattle, guess what happens.......Nike brings back the Griffeys!! I personally am partial to the blue ones, but you can't really go wrong with any of the Griffey releases from '09. Now I just can't wait to see these greys they're dropping this year.

Thank you, Scottie Pippeeeennn!

This song is too funny to even be real. lol

#7: Skytop II

Say what you want about Supra "not being about the skater anymore" and their shoes being "overhyped", yada yada yada. Well I'm a fan of Supra and my favorite Supra is the Skytop. So when I heard they were coming out with a Skytop II I couldn't help but be full of anticipation. And I can't say they let me down. Making the first release limited just added to the excitement of the drop and I can appreciate the risk that Supra took in looking to transform a shoe that has been such a successful mainstay for their line. And they did it with success!

Billy Hoyle would be proud

#8: Louis Vuitton Jasper

This shoe made my list (not because I'm a huge Kanye fan) because a RAPPER collaborated with one of the most popular and influential design houses in the entire world to make a shoe!! I mean yeah Jay-Z and 50 Cent may have joined with Reebok, and Eminem may have teamed up with Jordan Brand, but Kanye got with LOUIS VUITTON!! How crazy is that???!! I could've put every shoe from the collection on here, but me being the high top sneaker fan that i am....i went with the Jaspers. They're not "high" tops exactly, but you get what I mean, compared to the two other shoes in his Louis V collection. I like the grey and pink pair the best, but I think they're both great. Too bad I won't b able to afford these any time soon. lol

#9: Nike x Manny Pacquiao Lights Out Trainer 1

I think this shoe was EXTREMELY underrated!! First off, I think this is a great-looking trainer shoe. Secondly, I'm a sucker for glow in the dark. So that's why this shoe made my countdown. I love the detail of the designs on the shoe and just think it's a sweet shoe. Straight up. The one thing I don't like is how that Nike only released these in the Philippines.

I do what I want! (c) HurtMEEZY

Sooo....I know we're well into 2010, but I was looking at all these Top Sneakers of 2009 lists and realized I never made one of my own. And thought it may be kinda late I said F it cuz it's my blog and "I'll do what I want!" lol So here's my top 10. Hope you enjoy and maybe even agree with a couple. But if not...oh well cuz it's MY LIST!

#10: TK Supra
When I first saw this shoe I fell in love!! I nagged my girlfriend at tha time about getting them because she said she was going to get them for me as an anny gift but I was like...if you're not getting them then let me know because I'll just do it myself so I don't miss out. However, it turned out that the shoe was MASS produced (sever understatement) so "missing out" wasn't even an option. That mass production is the reason why it's #10 on my list. I appreciate Supra and Terry Kennedy for making the sure accessible to fans of the shoe and TK alike, but I feel like there could have been a better middle ground between Yeezy availability and Chuck Taylor All Star availability. Plus I think they went too far with the various colorways. I think the best colorways are the two pictured here and the black suede boys. Other than those....I'll #Stockton

Get 'em, Keith!

Keith Olbermann lets Limbaugh and Robertson have it. Some people just can't get beyond their own personal agendas and be humane for even a second.

Smooth

These babies right here are beautiful! And I think you'd have to either be crazy or have no fashion sense whatsoever to think otherwise. lol You'd have to AT LEAST like one of these shoes. If you want to cop a pair visit UNION .
But be ready to drop a smooth $300+. I gotta find these in a cheaper version. I'm talkin $100 or less, but with good quality. any suggestions?

Throwback Thursday

Don't ask me why this is my Throwback Thursday song, cuz even I don't have an answer for that question. lol

Is this what's hot?

Man....this whole spray painted hairline thing has GOT to stop! You can't even sweat wit that mess cuz that paint is gonna be runnin' all down ya neck and forehead.

BLD: Kid Cudi in a kilt

#FAIL!

BLD (Bad Life Decision): "Oh! So I can't pop off???"

So in case you've been under a rock and haven't heard....Gilbert Arenas is currently under investigation by the police for bringing three guns into the Washington Wizards locker room and jokingly placing them in front of Javaris Crittenton's locker. Didn't they change the name from the Bullets to AVOID these kinds of incidents??!?!!?!? Why would you think you should ever bring a gun to work if you're not a police officer or in some form of security?? Let's just hope that Stern doesn't suspend him for the rest of the season. Especially since it's his first full season back in like two years.

*so it appears Stern suspended him indefinitely without pay. smh*
